This one is done be only photoshop. I use a pic of the girl and then add some wings to her. then later i add some effects and play with the layer and texture.

some brithday cards that i like...

the card i use as reference. I drop dragon and put lion and drop the fire ring of the dragon and put cake. around the lion i put colorful lines that looks like some water color painting. and also use few symbols ....
The reason to use a lion is my nationality. I'm a sri lanken. our symbol is lion. We believe our people brave as lions. In ancient time we had fought with other countries and won many battles. That is the reason we get that name.
after the English people capture our country ( we have been betrayed by our own people.) our traditional way of living has start to change. so now our people calibrated birth days like English people. but we goes to temple. so i thought i must do some thing that connect to my nationality.
so i use Lion . i use safari look to show fun. kids always want some thing different. They are born with ability of searching .I thought it is like people going to safari. searching for things...

i use birthday cake to show how are we now calibration our birthdays. so i hope this care is good for a sri lankan kids..............

at last its finished. i add some texts and symbols to the background and play with a shapes. i use twirl tool to mahe some shapes looks bit carly. wow its wonderfull tool.

and also i use some symbels for leafs and the art in the background of the secondpage of the card.i play with transparancy many times to made this card. its realy nice experiance.finaly i feel its looking ok for final.

next step is adding words. I use two types of fonts. i think thouse two types are looks very funny and playfull. and one type of fount i add some broush effect . its become looks great.

I add grass and leafs to give some little safari look.i took leafs and grass from symbels. i put grss in different layers and try to make the lion is in a some kind of forest or ground. i think by this my safary idea become bit sussess.

I love to do 3d. so i made a cake . I use 3d efferct to make it looks like 3d. and add a candle and a nice fire.i use revolve to give cake a roung effect. and when i textuer it i use symbels and borders (in brush pallat) to made texters. i drow a candel and give few brush effects. then i give a shadow to the cake. to show its looks real.

i drown few lines and gave them difference colours and add some brushes to looks then like a watercolor drowning.

i use ink brushes to take a fancy look. i think kids like colours. and when they drow the drow every where. so i use it as a advantage. I use thouse mistake lines to give a colourfull look in to my birthday card.

I made a lion to represent our nation. i use a reference for drow it. I think its like a child drowing. i use broushes to give it a painting look. so i think its looks like a child painting. so its looks like a child work. normaly lion is a dangerous animal. But in here it is a funnly loking animal.

In previous projects i had low markes. So i thought in this time i have to do some thing different. so i plane my birthday card as a kids one.i took a rectangel shape to creat the frount page. and start it. add some clour. i mainly need to give this care a safary look. so i use brown colour.

finaly done my work. i use red, black , gray and white to show some patriotic feelings.and use sri lanken army solders pictures as references .Nationals hero's day we celebrate at February 04 at every year. and also we selibreat our indipendene day too.

oh its very hard to do things like this with out stoping. but it is fun.

I use lion as the symbol because Lion is the
symbol of Sri Lanka. Also thought lion represent
strength and leadership. I used Sri Lankan national flag's colours. I colour lions mane like fire flames to show speed.
